Angiography

Angiography is a modern imaging technique for the examination of arterial vessels. The only step necessary for its performance is the injection of a contrast agent into the patient’s vein, which spreads in the vessels, thus enabling vascular imaging. CT- or MRI-guided angiography are the methods of choice which offer a very good and timely detection of changes even in tiny vessels. E.g. playing an important role for stroke prevention.
